Taqwa is the Guarantor of our Success

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper) stated:

“Allah the Almighty makes a person who stands firm on taqwa entirely radiant. Such a person cannot commit any act which does not reflect the light of Allah. Every deed, every action, and every movement of such a person would be in accordance with the commandments of Allah the Almighty. And whenever such a person goes into any gathering, wherever they go, a certain awe accompanies them. The help of Allah remains with them. Thus, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) states that this is the level of taqwa that every Ahmadi should possess. If every Ahmadi were to attain this, then, according to His promise, Allah the Almighty would manifest a clear distinction between you and others. Therefore, each one of us must strive to attain these standards.

“The victory and dominance of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at will not come through worldly weapons. Rather, it is righteousness and taqwa that guarantee our success. From a worldly perspective, we possess neither strength nor resources. In terms of worldly means, we cannot stand against others even for a single minute. But if taqwa is created within us—if we instil within our hearts the fear of Allah, if we kindle within our hearts the love of Allah—then Allah the Almighty says: ‘I shall grant you such powers that no one, neither any opponent nor the greatest of worldly powers, will be able to stand against you.’

Therefore, every Ahmadi must bring about a special transformation within themselves, according to the command of Allah the Almighty. Raise your standards of taqwa. Having entered the Bai’at of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), we pledged that we shall adopt the fear of Allah, worship Him, act upon His commandments, give precedence to faith over the world, fulfil the rights of His creation, exhibit the highest morals, usurp no one’s rights, avoid arrogance, fulfil the rights of our spouses—and just because Allah commands that these rights be fulfilled. Only then can we be called righteous. When we fulfil all these rights, only then can we truly be counted among the righteous.”
