The Light of Allah Should Reflect in Our Words and Deeds

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper) stated:

“If in our speech there is, like others, mere emotion without reason, then this is not taqwa. If our actions are not in accordance with the teachings of Islam, then this is not taqwa. If the light of Allah is not reflected in our words and deeds, then we must be concerned about our state of taqwa. If, in adverse circumstances, we do not act upon the advice and guidance given by the Imam of the age, then we will move away from that light which Allah the Almighty grants due to obedience.

“Thus, we must first assess ourselves — have the standards of our taqwa reached such heights that we begin to witness the light of Allah? And are our prayers reaching those depths of tenderness that are required of one who truly supplicates, and which Allah desires? If so, then we should be certain that the help and support of Allah is near, and that Allah Himself will establish a nation for us and will level the earth before us — Insha’Allah.”
